Free Postal Entry - No Purchase Necessary

You never have to pay to enter a Pack Butcher competition. Every competition can be entered for free by post. Each free postal entry has exactly the same chance of winning as a paid ticket, for both the instant-win prizes and the main draw, and is treated identically in the draw. No purchase necessary.

How to enter for free

To enter any live competition for free, send us a postcard or an unenclosed letter by first- or second-class post containing all of the following:

• Your full name
• Your date of birth
• Your full postal address and contact phone number
• The email address of your Pack Butcher account, so we can issue your ticket to it (creating an account is free, and your account details need to be complete, just as for a paid entry)
• The name of the competition you want to enter

The important bits

• One postcard = one ticket. Want more than one entry? Send a separate postcard/letter for each. Multiple entries in one envelope count as a single entry.
• Get it in on time. Your entry must arrive before the competition's closing date and time - not just be posted by then. Late, incomplete or unreadable entries can't be accepted. (Proof of posting isn't proof of receipt.)
• Nothing to answer. A complete postal entry that arrives in time is entered, exactly like a paid ticket.
• Same limits as paid entries. If a competition has a maximum number of entries per person, it counts your paid and free entries together.
• You'll be treated exactly the same. Free entries are given ticket numbers on the same basis as paid ones and are eligible for instant wins and the main prize draw on identical terms.
• Your ticket number by email. Once we've entered your postcard, you'll get the same confirmation email with your ticket number as a paid entry, sent to your account email address.
• We can't return postal entries, and we're not responsible for post that's lost, delayed or damaged in transit.
• Free entry is open to UK residents aged 18+, subject to our full Terms & Conditions.

Winner selection

Instant wins are decided by pre-set winning ticket numbers, and the main prize is drawn at random from all valid entries after the competition closes - free and paid entries sit in the same pool. Full detail is in our Terms & Conditions.
