Packs for Kids
Opening a pack is a little moment of magic. Every quarter we set money aside, buy a load of sealed packs, and get them to children and young people who could use a lift.
Why we do this
Every pack is a little hit of hope - that flutter of not-knowing right before you see what's inside. We think every kid deserves that feeling, and none more so than the ones going through the toughest of times: long stays on a hospital ward, a hospice, or just a really hard stretch.
So we built giving into how The Pack Butcher works from day one. As the site grows, a slice of it goes straight back out as sealed packs for children who could use a smile. It is a small thing, but a torn wrapper and a shiny card can make a rotten day a little brighter - and that is worth doing.
What this is
This is our own community giving programme, funded by MCR Labs Ltd, the company behind The Pack Butcher. We are a business, not a registered charity, and we do not ask you for donations. We simply put some of our own money aside each quarter, turn it into sealed packs, and share them with children and young people through the organisations that support them.
Kept appropriate for children
The Pack Butcher is an over-18s prize-competitions brand, and we keep it completely separate from the children who receive packs. All donations are made by MCR Labs Ltd - the company, not the competitions brand. The packs are plain, sealed retail product, and we never share the competitions website, its branding or any 18+ promotion with the children or the organisations caring for them.
How it works
Each quarter we ringfence 5% of every entry into a giving pot, set aside purely for this.
We spend the pot on brand-new, sealed trading card packs - the same buzz our players love, ready to gift.
We get the packs to children through the hospitals, hospices and organisations that already care for them, so it reaches the kids safely.
Help us choose our first drop
We are quietly building the pot up until November, and when we get there we want you to help decide where our very first pack drop goes. We are thinking a hospital or a children's and young people's service, but we would love your ideas.
Being fully honest: we have not shouted about this yet, because right now we do not have anyone to deliver to. So if you know a ward, a hospice, a youth service or a cause that would welcome a little box of magic, that is exactly the steer we need. Come and have your say in the community.

If you are a hospital ward, children's hospice, charity, care service, youth group or any organisation that supports vulnerable or seriously unwell children and young people, we would love to hear from you. Tell us a little about who you support and we will see how we can help with a pack drop.
We always deliver through your own team so that access, infection control and safeguarding are handled properly by the people who know the children best - we never turn up unannounced.
